PATCH 1.0.7 IS NOW AVAILABLE!

Along with our Steam release, patch 1.0.7 is now available! It includes: controller rebinding, many narrative and design improvements, and more! Specifics are listed below:

Patch 1.0.7 Changes:

  • Revisions to writing, visual clues, and internal logic regarding a certain late-game mystery
  • Improved navigation for two paths on Brittle Hollow's southern hemisphere
  • Little Scout now automatically switches to launch mode when auto-equipped
  • Increased distance at which Quantum Moon feels seen
  • It is now possible to navigate in zero-g without a spacesuit
  • Increased the plausibility of a certain number on Giant's Deep
  • Input rebinding is now available on all platforms
  • Input lag reduced on all platforms
  • Fixed several bugs related to Patch 4 easter egg content changes
  • Player no longer remains locked onto the Interloper once it crashes into the Sun
  • Improved behavior when jet packing between horizontal tractor beams
  • Improved interactions with an Ash Twin orb track
  • Fixed a UI bug that occurs when the player accidentally selects "new game," declines at the "are you sure" screen, and then continues from previous save
  • Optimized memory usage on all platforms
  • Visual and layout changes to several structures on Ash Twin
  • Improved game icon on Xbox
  • Fixed minor visual issue with terrain clipping on Brittle Hollow & Visual improvements to architecture on Brittle Hollow
  • Added fossils to some cave walls on Ember Twin to improve visual polish
  • Ship log now defaults to map mode when there is no new info to reveal
  • Fixed issue with Korean font spacing

Please note that this patch is still in progress on PS4 and will be available soon; stay tuned for updates!

Note: as of 6/19/2020, a hotfix is now available on Steam (Epic following shortly) that fixes Map Zoom/Ship Log Zoom keyboard functionality/prompts, fixes Rotate Probe Camera keyboard prompt, and fixes Confirm/Cancel behavior in Key Rebinding Menu (particularly at high framerates). Thank you for your patience!

Patch 1.0.6 is Now Available!

Patch 1.0.6 is now available! It's a performance patch, improving memory usage. Please note that on PS4, the version number will read 1.04; that is correct and you are up to date!

Patch 1.0.6 Changes:

  • Fixed crash due to unreleased file handles
  • Fixed crash due to memory allocation spike during scene reloads
  • Improved memory fragmentation and reduced crashes due to out of memory conditions

Patch 1.0.5 is now available on Epic and Xbox!

Hello everyone!  Patch 1.0.5 is now available on Epic and Xbox.  Here’s what’s new:


  • Implemented a save backup system to prevent save data corruption if the game is terminated while saving
  • Improved the logo on the title screen
  • Implemented miscellaneous bug fixes for Patch 4 content
  • Fixed visual bug when viewing parts of Brittle Hollow remotely
  • Fixed lighting bug in a specific part of Ash Twin


Please note that this update is already available on PS4; if your title screen reads version 1.0.5 you’re good to go ;;).

Patch 1.0.4 is out!

Hello everyone!  We’ve released a new patch and are very excited to show it to you ::).


Here’s a list of the biggest and most exciting changes:

  • Removed an invisible repelling force that’s no longer necessary ;;)
  • Added menu for gameplay options that can be triggered by looking at the Player Suit in the Ship after the first loop
  • Visually revamped menu UI system
  • Significant performance improvement on PS4, especially the PS4 Pro
  • Changed the clue in the Black Hole Forge (again…)
  • Sound, especially ship impact noises, no longer travels between Dark Bramble areas

Design improvements
  • The Fig backer satellite is now more easily accessible and less frustrating to explore
  • Fuel and oxygen gauges in the ship cockpit now give actual measurements

UI
  • Added tooltips to the gameplay options menu to describe each option
  • Scrollbars across the game now fully scroll from top to bottom
  • Improved dialogue UI to fit text better
  • Asterisks in the ship log are now orange/yellow


Visuals
  • Improved visual effects for a certain sequence in the High Energy Lab
  • The Ash Twin hologram on the Orbital Probe Cannon now has antennae
  • Changed the Ship Log picture for the High Energy Lab mural
  • Improved lighting and added baked ambient occlusion to a certain Nomai area
  • Mesh geometry on the Little Scout now rotates to match the camera direction


Minor fixes & adjustments
  • Fix to the archeologist achievement that allows you to get all ship log facts from Gabbro in later conversations.
  • Fix for not being able to look/rotate while using a Nomai projection pool in zero-g
  • Fixed miscellaneous crash bugs
  • Fixed bug that occasionally makes the geometry of the planet you're on disappear
  • Fixed planet symbols at the Black Hole Forge
  • Fixed lakebed cave lighting bug that occurs when the player enters in a particular way
  • The player can no longer slightly see inside the clouds on Giant's Deep
  • Slate and Hal's auto-conversation triggers now deactivate if you talk to them manually
  • Fixed bug that occasionally vaulted the player upwards while jumping at a certain object
  • Fixed a PS4 crash on the first visit to the backer satellite
  • Fixed a bug where the autopilot tries to direct you towards something that doesn't exist anymore
  • Fixed bug with singularities
