Junior Game Programmer

Location
In-house in our office near Downtown Los Angeles

Job Description
We are looking for a generalist programmer willing to tackle a wide variety of programming tasks as part of a small independent game studio. You would be joining our current tech team to help finish Outer Wilds and play an integral part in the development of our next game.

Tasks may range from implementing gameplay and the logic behind character animations, to coding audio and optimizing visuals.

As a programmer on experimental games, you will need to create flexible systems that can adapt to changes and design iterations. You will get to find innovative solutions to new problems as we explore new ways of creating video games.

​Required Skills
  1. Demonstrable expertise in programming for Unity 3D in C#
  2. Experience with calculus and physics, and can manipulate Rigidbodies and Colliders through the Unity physics system
  3. Ability to read white papers/technical articles to derive solutions
  4. Proactive at coming up with creative solutions
​
Bonus Skills
  1. Knowledge of shader systems and Unity 3D’s render pipeline
  2. Experience with the implementation of audio in a 3D game
  3. Experience with Unity 3D UI system (introduced in Unity 4.6)
